Laser Genesis facial rejuvenation helps treat a number of skin issues, including sun damage, safely and effectively.

How Facial Rejuvenation Effectively Reduces the Appearance Of Common Skin Issues

Throughout our lives, biological and environmental factors change the appearance of our skin. Although others might not notice these changes as much as we do, they often cause self-consciousness. Many common skin issues can be a source of embarrassment or frustration. Thankfully, though, there’s an effective solution to these problems—Laser Genesis facial rejuvenation.

Laser Genesis facial rejuvenation is simple and safe, and alleviates a variety of common skin issues, reducing the appearance of annoying imperfections within a few treatments. Better still, since there’s no need for recovery time following a treatment, it’s easy to schedule a treatment over your lunch break!

Common Uses

Laser Genesis facial rejuvenation is used to treat the following common facial skin issues:

  • Brown pigment (melasma and hyperpigmentation);
  • Enlarged pores;
  • Facial redness (rosacea);
  • Fine lines and wrinkles;
  • Rough skin texture;
  • Scars from acne; and,
  • Scars from trauma, surgery, or burns.

How it Works

During a Laser Genesis facial rejuvenation treatment, heat from the laser stimulates skin cell and collagen growth to even out skin tone and texture, reduce scarring and pore size, and smooth out wrinkles. The heat from the laser also shrinks and closes the veins and capillaries that cause redness in the skin. While Laser Genesis is commonly used for facial rejuvenation, it can also treat similar skin issues on the neck, chest, and hands.

Patients may experience minor redness in the treatment area for a couple of hours after treatment, but this is normal and clears within the day. There is no need for recovery time after this treatment, which is why it is considered a lunch-time procedure. You can easily complete this treatment on your lunch break without needing to take the rest of the day off to recover.

Typically, four to six treatments (lasting about 20 to 45 minutes per treatment) are needed for optimal results. However, the length of the treatment and the number of treatments depends on the size of the treatment area and the individual’s goals.

Results

While each person is different, results typically last between 6 to 12 months. There are, however, important steps you can take to ensure your results last for as long as possible, including a personalized skin care regimen and a maintenance program prescribed by your doctor.

Your lifestyle can significantly influence how long your results last, such as diet, use of skin care products, and how much time you spend in the sun. Consider the following tips for keeping your skin looking great for longer:

  • Follow the prescribed daily skin care regimen;
  • Use SPF 50 broad spectrum sunblock to protect your skin year-round;
  • Don’t smoke cigarettes;
  • Don’t drink alcohol in excess;
  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet;
  • Exercise regularly; and,
  • Get a booster or maintenance laser treatment (every 6 to 12 months).

Although we can’t completely avoid biological and environmental factors that affect the appearance of our skin, we can help reduce the effects by following these tips and taking preventative measures. With Laser Genesis facial rejuvenation, you can restore your skin back to its youthful, natural appearance and not have to worry about those pesky imperfections anymore.
